Since 1977, our traditional fireworks event in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley near Rüdesheim has been thrilling guests from all over the world. Be there live when the sky above the Rhine is transformed into a colorful sea of colors! On board the MS Poseidon, you can enjoy the spectacle in a convoy with the best view of the fireworks.

Experience the spectacular fireworks display “Rhine in Flames” aboard the MS Poseidon, the ship of Bonntourist Personenschifffahrt Schmitz GmbH.
The ship & seating
The MS Beethoven has two spacious indoor decks with room for around 260 guests.
Reserved seats:
Seats on one of the two indoor decks will be reserved for you when you make your booking. The 2-course menu will also be served here. The sun deck (open deck) offers the best view of the fireworks. Seats there are not reserved – free seating applies.
Cuisine & music:
Look forward to a 3 - course meal during the cruise. Additional snacks can be ordered (not included in the price).
A DJ provides musical entertainment and a lively atmosphere on the outdoor deck.
Course of the boat trip
Departure: approx. 4:45 p.m. from Rüdesheim.
Cruise through the romantic Middle Rhine Valley with impressive views. At nightfall, the ships form a convoy. Return trip with impressive fireworks along the Rhine.
Arrival in Rüdesheim and end of the event: shortly before midnight.
Note: The exact route may vary depending on environmental conditions (e.g., water level).
Important information: Please be at the pier on time—the ship cannot wait if you are late. Free seating is only available on the open deck (sun deck).

Das Feedback war, dass das Feuerwerk phänomenal war, das Essen und Programm an Board aber nicht überzeugen konnte. Lange Wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen und die Qualität des Essens war auch nicht durchweg gut. Dass die Vorsuppe im Topf auf den Tisch gestellt wurde ohne auszuteilen hat durchaus für Irritationen geführt.
Insgesamt hatte man für den Preis mehr erwartet.
Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich die Zeit für Ihr ausführliches Feedback genommen haben. Es freut uns sehr, dass das Feuerwerk als phänomenal empfunden wurde und das Geschenk insgesamt in guter Erinnerung geblieben ist. Umso bedauerlicher ist es, dass das Essen, der Service und das Bordprogramm nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprochen haben. Ihre Hinweise zu den Wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen, der Qualität der Speisen sowie dem Servieren der Suppe werden wir an unseren Catering- und Schiffspartner weitergeben. Solche Rückmeldungen sind für uns wichtig, damit wir unser Angebot weiter verbessern können. Bei „Rhein in Flammen“ handelt es sich jedoch nicht um eine klassische Sightseeing-Tour mit Reiseleitung oder Informationen zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten entlang des Rheins. Der Schwerpunkt dieser Veranstaltung liegt auf dem besonderen Erlebnis des Feuerwerks, einem gastronomischen Angebot sowie der Unterhaltung an Bord – beispielsweise durch einen DJ und Musik. Wir bedauern, dass dieses Veranstaltungskonzept nicht Ihren Vorstellungen entsprochen hat.
