Since 1977, our traditional fireworks event in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley near Rüdesheim has been thrilling guests from all over the world. Experience a fascinating summer night on the Rhine at Rhine in Flames 2026 aboard La Paloma. Enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Middle Rhine Valley and the spectacular fireworks from the sun deck.
The ship
The La Paloma belongs to the family-run company Marksburgschiffahrt Vomfell and can accommodate up to 220 guests. All meals are freshly prepared in the on-board kitchen. The friendly service, excellent food, and atmospheric ambiance make this cruise particularly popular with our guests.
Culinary experience
Start the trip with a champagne reception on board. During the cruise, enjoy a freshly prepared 2-course meal. All drinks are included in the ticket price: beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and hot drinks.

Starter: Leaf salad with chopped walnuts, pomegranate seeds, and antipasti, bread basket with herb quark
Meat main course: Zurich-style sliced beef with spaetzle and zucchini boats

Procedure for the boat trip
Boarding: expected from 6:00 p.m.
Departure: approx. 7:00 p.m.
Fireworks: from approx. 10:30 p.m., best viewed from the sun deck
Return: around midnight
End of event: approx. 12:30 a.m.
The cruise starts and ends in Rüdesheim. The route may be adjusted depending on weather and water levels.
Your seats on board
When you book, we will reserve adjacent seats for your group on one of the two decks where the menu will be served. The open deck is available for free seating – ideal for photos and viewing the fireworks.
Please note: There are fixed table sizes.
If there is an odd number of participants or individual bookings, you may be seated with other guests.
For group bookings of 20 or more people, please let us know in advance so that we can seat you together if possible.
